CHANDIGARH: Under the direction of Punjab Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, the Directorate of Education Recruitment has completed another phase of recruitment process by conducting written test today to fill the backlog of various posts in Master Cadre in Border Area.

SAS NAGAR (MOHALI) : Expressing satisfaction over the 10th standard results declared today, Punjab Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema congratulated the meritorious students. In a press communiqué released here, he said that education department has made a giant leap towards quality education in the state, for which students, teachers and departmental officials deserve kudos. He said that the teachers and schools showing good results would get commendation certificates, while the schools with poor results would be identified and then an analysis would be done.

CHANDIGARH: Education Department, Punjab, today announced the results of 5th and 8th standard examinations. A total of 2,14,053 students appeared in 5th standard exams out of which 42,128 scored 80 percent while 1,44,049 students scored more than 60 percent marks.

CHANDIGARH: The Education Department, Punjab has suspended 3 employees in 3 different cases involving gross negligence of duty regarding harassment faced by employees/teachers thronging departmental offices for important works and undue delay in cases concerning disbursing/releasing post retirement benefits, jobs on compassionate grounds and court cases. The step has been taken as per the directions issued by Education Minister, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema.

CHANDIGARH: It is indeed a matter of satisfaction and a bold step taken by Punjab Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema who 
has brought to light the short comings in his own department and takes steps to ractifiy the wrongs done by his predecessors. 
Dr.Cheema has highlighted the fact that 80,000 students in Matric exam had failed in English paper and 35,000 have failed to even 
clear the exam in Punjabi language, our mother toungue and official language of Punjab Government.

PATIALA: Education Secretary, Krishan Kumar, has not only lent new dimension but also come forward to give personal touch to the " Enrollment Drive" currently underway in Punjab. He visited village SaidKheri in Rajpura subdivision of the district on Satuday evening. The Education Secretary, using the public address system of the local Gurudwara Sahib, himself made an appeal to the residents to get their wards admitted in the government schools.

CHANDIGARH:The Punjab School Education Department has decided to release an amount of around Rs. 7 crore to the government schools for taking various measures to compensate the students for the loss of education due to closing of the school during  Covid-19.

PATIALA: The Education Secretary, Krishan Kumar, has come forward to lend new dimension to the ongoing enrollment drive "Each One, Bring One". He paid obeisance at Gurudwara Sahib situated at village Baran in the district Patiala in the morning and himself made an announcement using the public address system to mobilise people to get their wards admitted in the government schools.

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab School Education Department has constituted 'Enrollment Booster Teams' for admissions for the session of 2021-22 so, that this enrollment drive can be run successfully.

CHANDIGARH:The Punjab Government has facilitated the process of issuing school leaving certificates to the students so that the students would no longer have to visit the schools again and again to get these certificates.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, while giving a big relief to parents of the state, said that only those schools which are imparting online education will be allowed to charge only tuition fee for lockdown period and admission fees, uniform or any other charges in any form will not be charged from the students. He added that the school managements should also refrain themselves from increasing the fee or any other charges during academic session 2020-21 in view of the nationwide disaster.

CHANDIGARH: Taking strict note of the reports of economic exploitation of parents by the managements of certain private schools, Mr.Vijay Inder Singla Education Minister Punjab has issued directions that all the private schools affiliated to CBSE/ICSE and Punjab School Education Board across the State shall not direct or compel parents to buy school uniform and books from an earmarked shop/firm. The sale of uniform and books within the school premises has also been prohibited, henceforth.
